Swim Updates & Meet and Team Dinner 3/8/24 - Volunteers needed

Hello CHS Swim Parents,
We met many of you at the Spring Sports parent meeting, but allow us to introduce ourselves again as your CHS Swim Team Parents for 2024:

As swim season is in full swing we wanted to send out some upcoming reminders and requests for volunteer help. As we mentioned at the meeting, every family is expected to sign up for 2-3 timer/jobs throughout the season. We have a big team and it will take all of us to work together for a successful season for our girls.
Friday, March 8th - DLS/CHS vs St. Francis/Jesuit @ DLS - Swim Meet and Team Dinner
- 12 Timers needed (no experience needed, quick training on site, meet other swim parents, front row seat to races!)
- We will be hosting the St. Francis/Jesuit swim teams at DLS after the meet for dinner. Your team funds will pay for dinner/drinks for your daughter. We are asking for dessert donations. 20 people to bring desserts (1- 2 dozen each)
- We need 5 helpers to set up and 5 helpers for clean up the dinner (timing and more details to follow).
** All of these volunteer jobs/donations are listed on Swimtopia - please use that site to sign up so we can track volunteers.
- Please plan to have your daughter stay after the meet to join in the fun of this annual tradition of hosting dinner between the four schools.
Saturday, March 9th - CHS JV Team @ Oakridge invitational
- Snacks/Drinks for swimmers - 1 volunteer needed - buying and bringing snacks/drinks for the JV swimmers. We have the budget would just need help shopping, transporting and setting up for the girls.
- Pop Ups - 2 Volunteers needed to bring pop ups from DLS meet (Friday night) to Oakridge and back to CAC.

Friday/Saturday March 15th and 16th - DLS Invitational
- Mark your calendars now! We will need timers and will be listing 2 hour shifts once we have the times and details - another great opportunity to help with a meet and support our swimmers!
Just a REMINDER to pay the Team Fee: $230
- this cost covers a $65 CHS team swim suit as well as $165 towards 3 team dinners, Senior Night (dinner), Awards Night (dinner), snacks/drinks at meets, t-shirt, Nutritional Coaching and the Coaches end of the year gifts.

We are confirming dates and location and will update you as soon as we hear back from the CHS Athletics office.
- Once we confirm dates we will be asking for volunteers to join a small committee to help Melanie Kracht, Chair, with organizing these two special events.
April 4- 6th - Clovis Invitational - VARSITY
- We are working on securing a block of rooms and will let you know soon the hotel chosen if you would like to book a parent room.
- More information to come soon on transportation/hotels/etc. Please note this is the end of spring break, the team will leave Thursday late morning (April 4th) and return home late Saturday night (April 6th).
