Weekly Updates and CLOVIS Invitational - VARSITY - COMMIT & PAY by 3/26/24
March 18th
CHS Swim Parents,
- First, congratulations to all swimmers for an excellent DLS Invitational and for winning in both JV and Varsity divisions!
- Secondly, thank you to all our volunteer parents for timing (especially those who did TWO SHIFTS!), coordinating snacks, organizing volunteers and a big thank you to our Coaches for their support and leadership.
- WED, March 20th - NEXT MEET is 4 PM AT Monte Vista. Since this is an away meet we will not need parent volunteers to time. Please arrange carpools and have swimmers arrive by 3 PM for warm ups.
- TUES, March 26th - Meet vs. Dougherty High School @ De La Salle. We will be having a team dinner for all swimmers with De La Salle after this meet, more information to come. TIMER slots are open for this meet (8 more needed), would love to see some new parent volunteers, thank you for signing up!
- April 4th - 6th - CLOVIS Invitational:
- All Seniors, Varsity training and Varsity swimmers are invited to the Clovis Invitational.
- PLEASE COMMIT on Swimtopia and PAY at CHS Swim Jotform by TUESDAY, March 26th
- $340 FEE (Includes $185 Hotel, $95 Van/gas, $75 Food/Snacks/Drinks). Each swimmer will room with 2 other girls, coaches/drivers rooms paid for by swimmers, van transportation to Clovis and back, breakfast is included in the hotel, and fee covers additional 1 meal a day and snacks coordinated by team parent)
- PAY FEE on CHS, Athletics, Team Payments, Swimming Jotform:
- FOR PARENTS who will be traveling to Clovis: Swimmers and Coaches will be staying at the Hyatt Place Fresno. Please call the hotel directly & ask for the Clovis West HS Invitational rate (559-899-0400).

- Looking ahead, we will need timers for Cal High meet on Wed, April 17th @ De La Salle (volunteer slots are open on Swimtopia).
- We will be assigning volunteer timers for EBAL Championship at Dougherty Valley High School April 26-27th once we know our job assignments for CHS.
- Lastly, please keep our Varsity Assistant Coach, Shaila Hogan, in your thoughts and prayers. She gave me permission to share that she is pregnant with her 4th baby and her water broke at 30 weeks (at the CAC!). She will be in the hospital until she delivers her baby girl. She has 3 other young children at home and a husband training for work in Texas. If you'd like to show her some CHS SWIM LOVE, I'll be sharing a link to her baby registry soon.
